For our 2nd Christmas together, Preston and I bought Nerf Dart Guns for a "gag" gift for ourselves. I had totally forgotten that we had them until Abigail found them in the game closet. Yes, we love games so we a have a closet dedicated just to them. Keeps us young! Anyhow, I thought it was so funny how quick the kids picked them up and before I knew it they were running around the house shooting darts at each other. But nothing is more fun then hiding behind the fridge to shoot "Mom" when I'm in the kitchen.
The other night, Abigail was just anxious to wear her swimmingsuit. I told her we had to get a new one since the suit from last year didn't fit. Of course since it didn't fit her, she automatically wanted to see if it would fit Aaron. Poor thing didn't have much say to it. Preston about died when he saw Aaron in the lime green swimsuit. He then proceeded to die even more when he notice how happy Aaron was. Mostly becuase we were both laughing so hard. Preston made me swear that if I posted any pictures I had to refer to it as a "wrestling suit". lol

I have such a wonderful husband. Even after a long day at work he still finds time to have a special "play time with Daddy". This night it was time for a mean game of Candyland. We're still not sure who won because Aaron kept moving the game peices all over the board. But it was fun watching them take turns spinning.

Few people will ever understand just how great life is. Many of us get caught up in the day to day hustle and bustle of "life" and we forget to laugh, smile and really let ourselves and our hearts be happy. I am referring to how I feel this moring about my family. I have a great wife who loves me and two great children- each one with their own personality and special light that makes them who they are and gives me a small glimpse into Heavenly Fathers heart as I love and nuture them and understand just what makes them so special.

Just last night I had a fun time laughing and tickling the children. Aaron is so funny and has such a great smile. Abigail too has a funny side. For example: just after returning home from the store, where Paige had purchased some new clothes hampers; one with the Disney Cars logo on it and another with Disneys' Tinkerbell on it. Before we could even tell the children what the clothes hampers were for, they had them over their heads and were running around bumping into each other and laughing histerically. I pause and marvel at the pure laughter of little children and I am again reminded of the beauty of my life. My children really are that glipmse of Heaven that I need to help me remember who I am and who I am becomming. I have the greatest family in the whole world!! (yeah I know I am a bit biased).....Preston

Not so Funny Moment! After the snowsuit incident, the day just got even more hectic. Luckily for me, it was nap time so, after getting my two kids down for naps, I thought it was a perfect time to put a movie on for my niece and nephew and I would hop into the shower. It was really nice to just stand there and let the warm water wash away all of the tension that had built up. However, I think I should have just stayed in the shower for the rest of the day because all of the tension came right back as soon as I came downstairs. I guess while I was in the shower, Abigial had woken up and had pulled one of the diningroom chairs up to the counter, climbed up on the counter and had found a small bag of leftover hershey kisses in the cupboard. I found her down in the familyroom sitting on the couch with my niece just having the time of their lives stuffing their faces with chocolate. There were 20 or so wrappers on the couch and a couple more on the floor, chocolate all over their faces and their clothes not to mention all over the two cushions they were sitting on an a couple more kisses smooshed into the carpet right underneath them. Why is it that kids do things like this? I swear I never did things like this. Okay, so I was probably worse, but still. Isn't life already exciting. And besides, I don't think my husband was planning on using our tax return this year to recarpet the house or get new couches.
Funny Moment. I was babysitting my niece and nephew yesterday. We had tons of fun and having four children under the age of 5 is really good birth control. (Sorry to both sets of Grandparents who are just waiting for another announcement from us.) Anyways, I thought it would be nice to get them all dressed up and go play in the snow. We received about a foot on monday, 5 more inches yesterday so it was perfect. It took me about 30 min. to get us all dressed and ready to go, and I think they lasted only 15 min outside becuase it was so cold. So, to make a this already long post shorter; I spent another 20 min getting everyone undressed and back inside. However, getting my nieces snowsuit off was a different story. Somehow, her zipper handle was broken, and being the good mother that I try to be, I made sure I zipped her coat all the way to the top. Well, the zipper would not unzip. I tried everything from pulling from one side to the other, wax, WD40 and still no luck. I frantically called my mother who gave me even more tips but they didn't work. And my niece must have a larger head then most becuase I couldn't even pull it off without the zipper being undone. Poor thing was so distraut. She thought she would have to wear her coat until her parents came home from their trip. So.........I had reached my last resort......scissors. Yep, you guessed it. I had to cut the zipper off the coat at least 5 inches down just so I could pull it up over her head. Funny moment in an already hectic day. Ain't life grand!!

So, I am new at this blogging thing- but here goes my first try- maybe my last try-

My wife's recent post has people sending her great vibes and good dieting and weight loss tips- of course she posts a hot looking picture of herself- but I always knew she looked that good!

I thought, if she can do it, then I can to! I too have joined the same gym in an effort to lose weight. Talk about intimidation when you walk intothe gym and all you see are "meat heads" asking "which way to the weight room?" I am here to lose weight not tell you how ravishing your muscles look- but seriously- I guess that I could lose some weight around my tummy section and working at a desk job all day, and lately all night too does not exactly help!

So now to my picture!! The following picture was taken just before the release of my latest movie "Preston Davis: Mall Cop" but at the last minute they changed the name to Paul Blart- this was to protect my image. This movie was tough- I rode a scooter all day- but hey I did my own stunts! I was living the dream! Enjoy the picture and send me some good vibes!

Okay, so I have been looking at my friend Jamie's blog and I realized I better post a more recent picture of me now that I have been working out. The only problem is they messed the name up. It totally looks more like me then Debra Messing...whoever that is. Hee hee hee Seriously now. This is what I want to look like by the end of this year. I was somewhat slim and trim when I came home from my mission but as soon as I got married that completely went out the window. With late nights, eating out, getting to buy your own food (in a family of 12, cold cereal was a Christmas Day special) but after your married it can me an ALL DAY special. Oh, and don't foreget the infamous weight gain on the pill. Then you throw in school and work. Oh and don't forget having two children less then 15 months apart. And there you have it. All my excuses on why I am a little more rounder these days. On March 27th I turn 30 and I have decided that there is now way that I'm going to be a size 18-20 when I'm 30. So, last month I joined Performax Gym (wonderful and it comes with a really cool Kids Club). I go 3-4 times a week and as of yesterday I have already lost 13 lbs!!!! Yeah!!!! I haven't quite got the dieting part done. It is totally a mental thing for me. As soon as I say those words "I'm on a diet", I crave anything and everything under the sun. I would really love to hear any tidbits, hints, success stories, anything that I can do that actually works so I can be even closer to getting back down to a size 12 or 14. And then maybe...just maybe my dream of being a the first "Real" redhead model for Victoria Secret will come true. LOL

Okay...so the other day we were watching "The Little Mermaid". It's one of Abigail's latest favorite movies. She has officially hit the princess stage and only wants to watch princess like movies. Anyways, she was holding the dvd case and pointing out all of the characters for me; the Sea Witch, King Triton, Flounder, Crab and then Ariel. It was really cute to hear her pronounce their names. After she pointed to Ariel, she stopped squinted her eyebrows in deep thought and askes, as she points to Ariel's chest... "what's this?". Just to clarify what she was pointing at, I asked, "what's what?" Once again she points to her chest and asks, "whats this?". The first thing that came to my mind was to just say, "Seashells". "Ohhhh...she replies". Then she points to my chest and says, "Mommy....Seashells!". I just laughed...I am not sure I am ready for this phase in motherhood.

HALLELUJAH!!!! HALLELUJAH!!! I finally found a way to get the comment feature back on my blog!!!!! I have had a ton of people ask me why I wasn't allowing comments on my blog. I wanted comments but for some reason when I changed templates last year it blocked out the comment feature. Anyhow, I have been trying for months now to get it to work but had no progress. So....this morning I set up a new blog and then imported my old one and then I had to redo all of my extra gadgets on the side and blah...blah...blah. It's been a lot of work but I finally have the comment line up and it's ready to be used. Now you can all comment to your hearts content.

Some days my kids seem more like "Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dumb", and on those really special days they are seem more like "Bonnie and Clyde"! Even though they are 15 months apart, they act like "Two Peas in a Pod". Okay, enough of the quotes. At first when I found out that I was expecting again when Abigail was only 6 months old, I have to admit that I was not the least bit excited. I had a hard time dealing with being sick again especially when I had just felt like I received my body back from the first pregnancy. But...now that they are together I wouldn't have it any other way. I am so lucky to have both of them. Aaron adds so much excitement to my life. Having to deal with his craniofacial surgery at only 9 months, has helped me to rely more on my faith, my family, my friends and neighbors and especially on my Savior. He truly is a miracle child and I am so grateful to be his mother.
Preston thought it was so cute to find Abigail and I looking through the ad's for Christmas.
Aren't they the most adorable kids you have ever seen! I know I am their mother, so of course they are the cutest to me, but still, you have to admit they are adorable.
Abigail and Aaron love to play in the snow. So much so, that Abigail will put on her boots and her snowsuit all by herself and grab my keys to let her out back to play. Aaron on the other hand, loves the snow until he falls and then he is pretty much done after that. These pictures were taken after the first snowfall of the 2008 year. I have been wanting to take more now that we have 3-4 feet out back, but it's too darn cold!!!!
